Shipping Policy

Shipping Policy

Given the highly specific logistical profile of KERMA LTD which encompasses distributing heavy, fragile, premium glass-bottled imported beverages across the Hellenic Republic and the Republic of Cyprus, this Shipping Policy defines exact fulfillment liabilities, delivery modalities, and thresholds.

Variable Surcharges, Fractional Units, and Bulk Handling

Fulfillment pricing is established according to volumetric mass and handling fragility indexes:

  • Individual Bottles vs. Bulk: Single, fractional items (such as assembling three loose 330ml bottles) command increased logistical complexity. These require labor-intensive, bespoke impact-protective molding ensuring safe transit. Consequently, orders failing to reach volume thresholds may reflect flat-rate fractional handling fees to buffer these material costs.
  • Heavy Bulk Cases: Submitting a completed order for a 20 or 24 case (ranging upward of 15 to 20 kilograms) transitions logistics into heavy-parcel freight frameworks.
  • Split Consignments: To protect delicate glassware or premium specialty mugs from being crushed by the immense weight of 500ml beer cases in mixed-cart checkouts, we unilaterally reserve the right to deploy separate split deliveries.

Third-Party Delivery Platforms and Liability Exclusions

While our centralized fleet manages direct wholesale operations from repositories in Nicosia (Strovolos) or Attica (Aspropyrgos / Magoula), rapid localized distributions frequently leverage independent third-party platforms.

When interacting with the retail offerings on platforms like Foody or Wolt, consumers are governed directly by the platform’s algorithm limits. Real-time promotional dynamics, varying shipping fee waivers, and estimated transit times originated off those external applications are strictly managed under their independent Terms of Service. KERMA LTD indemnifies itself comprehensively from delays, driver-shortages, or algorithmic inaccuracies tied strictly to those independent gig-economy courier networks.

Transfer of Transit Liability and Receiving Protocols

Under strict European framework protections, the risk of transit damage transitions onto the consumer at the precise moment they, or their nominated surrogate, takes physical possession of the payload at the designated threshold entry. Since our deliveries contain highly fragile items, the following receiving protocol is mandatory:

Before executing the final delivery signature, heavily scrutinize the external carton. If the parcel demonstrates significant structural compromise, physical sagging, or emits the unmissable aroma of escaping alcohol, you must adamantly refuse the delivery, or conversely sign "under reservations". Immediate reports detailing shattered transit losses (with prominent, unimpeachable photographic documentation) must be logged directly with info@kerma.gr within a strict 24- to 48-hour operational reporting window.

Mandatory Age Verification Enforcement

We stringently prohibit underage alcohol distribution. In alignment with regulatory codes, logistics couriers conducting localized drops from our networks are strictly commanded to verify recipient age explicitly at the delivery threshold.

Failure to produce verifiable, government-issued physical ID asserting you are above the age of 18 will trigger immediate return of goods to the primary warehouse. Under such compliance failures, the consumer is unilaterally accountable for shouldering outbound shipping charges and exhaustive reverse-logistics retrieval costs.
